Today I stop by guitar center in Arizona no one never came up to me ask can they help me with anything I were very happy to have my wife me first time here on vacation so I told her let's go she said that's a first you're ready to leave before me

Dream's head smashed WARNING! Do not ever buy anything from Guitar center

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
I decided to buy a keyboard so I saved the money for a few months the only one I could afford was at Guitar center in my younger days I worked at GUITAR center in San Diego I had heard they've got a bad reputation but I went ahead what a stupid mistake F—-kin stupid STUPID MISTAKE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE
Ordered aug 22 shipping time 3-5 days
I waited 7 days before I checked nothing had been done they took additional days before it shipped I don't know about you but 2-k is a chunk of dough this was supposed to be a happy fun treat for myself it arrived sept7
In a box that was the flimsiest arrrrgh! F—kin Stupid DO NOT buy anything from GUITAR CENTER

I ordered a Kronos from guitar center

Aug 22 was supposed to arrive 3-5 days
I checked when it had not arrived in 7days it had not been shipped it took 2 more days to ship it arrived sept 7
Completely TRASHED SMASH 8 keys stuck down WARNING ⚠️ WARNING
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM GUITAR CENTER

What happened to guitar center

What happened to guitar center? Been to my local store 3 times recently and couldn't find what I was looking for. Selection is lousy. Couldn't find the strings I needed or a guitar strap for a heavier guitar.

Above and Beyond

My daughters guitar broke, we had the insurance. I dealt with the store in Colorado and they found the same guitar she wanted semi locally. The guitar was suppose to be delivered 1-2 days later. The follow up was not there, I was very disappointed. However that turned around when I spoke to Ant at the Yakima, WA store. He went above and beyond. He honored a pervious price for me and overnighted the guitar to my daughter in college!! We are so please with our experience!!! Thank you Ant!!!

Guitar lesson billing

If you are the recipient of instruction from guitar Center be very aware that if a lesson is canceled with proper notification for any reason such as your vacation, your illness, instructor vacation, instructor illness, etc., you DO NOT receive reimbursement for prepaid lessons. You receive only a lesson credit. Over the course of a year, these can accumulate unknowingly and if you decide to leave Guitar Center you will eat the cost of lesson credits possibly losing hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Who can make up lessons by doubling up during the week or having a different instructor jump in and give you a make up lesson? It is a very difficult task if you work or are on a schedule or if you’re a parent with a child taking lessons, etc. It may be a good business model for guitar Center but it is a bit of a scam policy for students.

Same day pick up

I ordered a fender acoustic guitar for my wife as a gift said same day pick up as well I got a electronic drum set to mess around with over 500$ for the Oder and it's definitely not same day even tho they have the product in store. If your going to offer same day pick up it should be the same day

Guitar center online order

Ordered from guitar center online. Spent 667.00 on a microphone, cloud lifter, and XLR cable. The items were in stock available for same day pick up in store. I ordered them at 4:45PM. at 8:15PM I call the store as I still haven't been updated to come pick up my items yet. The person who answers, checks on my order and lets me know it still hasn't come through their queue yet and advises me to call customer service. I call customer service who advises me that they can't help me and I need to call the store. I tell them the store told me to call them. She takes my order number and then proceeds to tell me that my order hasn't hit their queue yet because its still awaiting "verification", but "doesn't know how long this verification takes?". So please tell me what is the point of same day curbside pick up if the purchases have to be "verified" first? And WHY do they need to be verified if you already places a 700.00 hold on my credit card. This doesn't make sense. When I explained that it didn't make sense to the customer service rep, here response was "Well... you can just cancel the order..." LOL this is the kind of customer service that would explain why there's 2 people in your store shopping at any given time. I won't ever be buying equipment from guitar center again after I pick up this order... whenever that may be. This isn't the nostalgic experience I remember as a kid. Guitar center sucks now, take your business elsewhere... to a local shop owner if possible, avoid GC like the plague.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen

EVERY TIME I buy something from Guitar Center, either on line at guitarcenter.com or at a retail store, I anticipate some kind of complication, and I'm usually right. I live in rural S. Indiana and the closest GC is about 100 km (60 "miles") away, so getting there is an event. I made the trip and purchased 2 acoustic guitars. I realized when I got home, one of them was supposed to include a free gig bag. I called the store and instead of seizing the opportunity for good cust service by dropping it in the mail for me, I was told the only way to get it is to return to the store, return the acoustic and re-buy it with the free gig bag promo. Well, at 5 bucks for a galloon of gas, we both knew that ain't gonna happen. So, congrats on your free gig bag, Guitar Center. You won. The online experience is the same anxiety causing experience. My most recent purchase was a ukulele from guitarcenter.com. I see the money has been debited from my account, but I've heard nothing from them for 2 days. Just an email that "We're working on your order..." In the day and age of email and notifications, no communication makes me nervous that my order has been screwed up somehow. I won't mention any names but there is another major online music retailer that provides a much SWEETER online shopping experience, IMHO. GC could clean up their act by scaling back their retail stores, hiring fewer douchy hipster employees (to be fair, I have had some positive experiences as well, but more not-so positives) and providing a better online shopping experience. I have more to say but I'm hungry and need to eat breakfast. :)

Beware with this website!

Beware with this website!! They will false advertise their items, and when you ask for Return mailing label, they will make you pay for the return shipping. I just purchased a Mini Cajon Shaker in which they put in the picture as a three pack, but they only sent one. I have file for a Prepaid Return shipping label but they want me to pay for return shipping.

Shocking. Since several customers in my area complained of the same thing. Placing an order, being told "its in" when it wasn't. Then no communication thereafter. Bad business

I called customer service and they told me that they no longer have the item in stock - why the heck would they put it up online if they don't have that item in stock? I checked the site again the next day and the amp is again available for sale. This company is run by a bunch of scam artists!

They suck altogether, online or mortar. I spent over $250 on studio equip during 2021. Most of it failing (including 2 mics) and they gave me nothing but bull$#*! pushback when returning for a refund, or replacing. BIG bunch of bankruptcy scammers.

Guitar center is one of the worse companies for online orders. Their support and response are almost non-existent. My personal experience with them. Avoid at all cost, their main interest is separating you from your money however they can.

No thanks I am going to other music shops close by and am permanently done with guitar center. I would never recommend you're business. I was told my guitar would be fixed in two weeks. Five weeks later I went and got it back. I am tired of apologizing over and over, every Time I buy something.
